Calder’s Kitchen was formed by husband and wife Andrew and Anne-Marie Calder in 2015 following the discovery of an old family Piccalilli recipe, left behind by Andrew’s late Granddad, Charlie. After deciding to give the recipe a go and handing it out to family, friends and work colleagues and receiving phenomenal feedback, they spent a year testing the market, attending small local events, village fetes, shows and small markets.

It was the reaction of the public that prompted Calder’s Kitchen to start the business. It now has a small range of three Piccalilli based products: The original Classic Piccalilli, winner of a Guild of Fine Food Great Taste award in 2016, a medium spiced Chillililli, a slow burner with a moderate sweet chilli glow, and its most recent product that brings classic Piccalilli together with Indian Spice and a little bit more heat – Sillylilli

It’s two spicier takes on Piccalilli were both recipients of Great Taste awards in 2020.
